Larry holds a undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from Biola University.  In addition, he completed a rigorous two year biblical exegesis curriculum from the Scribe School of Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California.  He graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the Professional School of Psychological Studies, a California state approved but not accredited graduate school in San Diego, California.
He has served as a pastor in both California and Oregon.  He is presently a pastor at large for Reformation Fellowship in Eugene, Oregon.

Larry serves in a ministerial capacity. His pastoral duties include: pastoral counseling, facilitating a support group for pastors, teaching bible classes and relationship seminars for local churches and para-church organizations. He writes article pertaining to relationships, spiritual issues and the gospel. In addition, Larry provides two-week intensives for pastors and their wives, and training seminars on "Learning from Conflict" for churches and businesses. Larry served with distinction while in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict.

For over thirty five years Larry has helped individuals, couples, teams and organizations navigate conflict and build productive patterns of communication. During that time Larry has built a reputation for his keen observation, insight, and honest approach to working with people. Christine Barber, LPC

Picture
Christine Barber, M.A., LPC, has had the profound privilege and responsibility of counseling individuals and couples for over 35 years. Through her extensive experience, she has developed a depth of understanding possible only through many thousands of hours of thoughtful listening, courageous processing, and compassionate caring, coupled with her  commitment to self-discovery and personal growth as a way of life. In her safe and empathetic presence, people feel heard, seen, and insightfully understood. Christine is an effective and keenly intuitive therapist, humbled by the opportunity to help people heal, restoring hope and function to their lives.

Throughout the years, Christine has actively engaged in developing a broad knowledge base well beyond her formal graduate education in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University in California, and the requirements for a licensure, first in California, and later in Oregon, where she has practiced since 1989. She has been particularly inspired by Somatic Experiencing, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Relational, Trauma and Attachment Theory. These have allowed her to skillfully address accumulated and chronic fear, stress, and overwhelm, PTSD, and multiple other conditions, to help transform the impact of trauma on the body, mind and emotions, and relationships.  Synthesizing these modalities, she has developed a therapeutic model: Relational Neuro-Somatic Therapy, (RNST).

In addition to counseling individuals and couples, Christine provides RNST case consultations, training therapists in classroom settings using an experiential teaching style, and informal professional supervision for interns and therapists. She leads relationship workshops with her husband of 38 years, pastoral counselor Larry Barber, facilitates women's groups, and teaches a wide variety of related courses. She is honored to be the mother of three adult children.
