Psycho-Educational AssessmentAt Charis Foundation, we provide thorough, customized evaluations to help families determine what issues are preventing academic success in their children or adolescents. We seek to identify each child or teen’s unique set of strengths, weaknesses, and individual needs. Families often give us feedback about how thorough our reports are, how individualized our recommendations are, and how much time we spend focusing on their child or teen’s unique issues until we come to an accurate understanding of the situation.
We work with insurance companies in effort to pre-authorize testing and help families recieve the insurance benefits that they count on. |
Psycho/Social Diagnostic EvaluationsComprehensive psychosocial evaluations are extremely helpful in determining exactly what may be causing the emotional, behavioral, or social disturbances in the life of your child or teen. We work with parents, teachers/care-takers, and the individual child/teen to identify specific areas of challenge, limitations, and strengths. Assessment is useful in arriving at an accurate diagnosis that fits the entire picture of your child/teen's unique situation. An accurate understanding of your child/teen helps guide families, therapists, and educational systems in the formulation of an effective plan for treatment to encourage growth in your child/teen. At Charis, we strive to move each child/teen closer to their full capacity as a unique and important individual.

Individual Adult/Couple's EvaluationWe offer assessment of personality for adults whose symptoms, experiences, and background make accurate diagnostic understanding difficult and complex. In many cases, a few hours of clinical assessment can greatly speed up the process of arriving at an accurate diagnosis, appropriate goals, and an effective treatment plan in both individual and couples therapy. In couple's counseling, personality assessment and a tangible profile of one anothers tendencies can help couple's gain a greater understanding of themselves and their partners in a relatively short amount of time. This greater level of understanding can: 1) provide awareness into the underlying factors that effect our feelings, behavior, and roles in relationships; 2) allow couples to have more genuine empathy and compassion for one another.
