Therapy for Families
Health in family functioning is one of the most important contributers to healthy development in children and teens. Family health is also key to finding fulfullment, meaning, and wholeness in adult life. Seeking therapy to help your family navigate through challenging times is not a sign of weakness or failure, rather a responsible and compassionate decision for every member of your family.
At Charis Foundation, our therapists are skilled and experienced in working with families through times of adjustment, grief, loss, high stress, health difficulties, parent-child relational conflict, beahavioral issues, divorce, separation, merged family situations, and trauma exposure.
We are respectful of the underlying value systems of each family and are sensitive to differences in ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Our providers work with each family to identify thier unique strengths and challenges and to establish clear and achievable goals for family therapy.
We strive to restore healthy functioning to any type of family, including merged, separated and divorced families. One of the key factors in determining how well children, teens, and adults are able to adjust to difficult or challenging situations is the level of conflict between members of a household. We work with each family to help resolve conflict, mediate challenging relationships, and guide difficult decisions based on the best interests of all family members involved.
